4th Grade Girls Basketball - Fall 2025

4th Grade Girls Basketball League

First Practice: Week of October 13 (communication on practice schedule will come from team coach).

Games: Games will be played at White Pines Intermediate School at 5:30pm or 6:30pm on Monday evenings. Games will be played on November 3, 10, 17, 24 & December 1, 8

End of season tournament: December 13 at White Pines Intermediate School - Time TBD 

Practice days and times- TBD (Plan on 1-2 days a week, right after school at the school)

Registration includes a team jersey.

Volunteers needed: 
Head Coach - schedule practices, communicate with other head coaches, officials, NORA staff. 
Assistant Coach - attend practice and assist head coach, communicate with parents
Fundraising - find a sponsor for your team, NORA will provide information on tax receipt, etc. 

5th & 6th Grade Cross Country - Fall 2025

Join Coach Braydyn in this fun after school running club! You will work together as a team to improve everyone's individual times and fall in love with running. Practices will be after school Mondays & Thursdays. We will meet on the track to start/end practices and runners can be picked up there as well. 

Practice Time: 4:00-5:30 PM

Assistant Coaches NEEDED! 

Coach Braydyn is awesome and has some great plans for the kids but it is a LOT of kids so if you are able to assist him in coaching, please reach out to Bailey Bertapelle (gonzalesb@norarec.org) and get a volunteer assessment done asap. 

5th & 6th Grade Girls Basketball - Fall 2025

Join us for this fun after-school house league. All skill levels welcome as we develop foundational basketball skills as well as leadership and teamwork together. All practices will be held at White Pines after school from 4:00pm-5:30pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays. All games will also be held on Tuesdays/Thursdays at White Pines with a short team warm up and then games will begin at 4:30pm - 5:30pm. Spectators welcome for games but practices are closed to spectators.

7th & 8th Grade Girls Basketball - Challenge Team - Fall 2025

Our 7th/8th Grade Girls Challenge Team is a competitive, skill-focused team designed for athletes who are passionate about basketball and ready to take their game to the next level. Competing in the Holland Recreation League, we emphasize teamwork, discipline, and development of fundamentals in a positive and supportive environment. Players will build on core skills such as ball-handling, shooting, defense, and game strategy while facing strong competition from local teams. This team is ideal for girls preparing for their middle school seasons.

Practices: Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:00 PM at White Pines Intermediate School - Begins October 23

Games: Saturday mornings - November 1, 8, 15, 22 and December 6 - End of season tournament will be played on December 13

Balance Buddies Meet Up - Fall 2025

Velo Kids and NORA are collaborating to bring you Balance Buddies Meet-Ups. Come meet us on Fridays this fall as we stride and scoot and get comfortable on balance bikes. We will play, be silly, hear stories, learn and most importantly have FUN on BIKES!

Balance bikes only at this event. Don’t have a balance bike, no problem! When you register let us know- We will have a bike and a helmet waiting for your little ripper to borrow for the day, from the Velo Kids bike library.


REQUIREMENTS:
-A positive attitude.
-Helmet and functioning balance bike. Balance bikes available to borrow, let us know during registration if you need to borrow bike and/or helmet.
-Responsible adult to stay in the area to help.
-Balance/ strider bikes only.
-Closed-toed shoes. NO FLIP FLOPS, NO CROCS
