A Family-Friendly Trick-or-Treat Kayak Adventure

Join NORA and Lakeshore Kayak Rental for a one-of-a-kind fall experience on Lloyd’s Bayou! Families will paddle through calm waters, visit floating pumpkin stations, and collect treats from festively decorated docks. Costumes are encouraged, and all participants will enjoy a cider & doughnut treat after their paddle.

  • Who: Ages 5+for Kayaks (Canoes Available for Families with Younger Children - Ages 5-7 wanting to kayak must paddle tandem with an adult)

  • When: October 11, 2026 *Rain Date October 18, 2026
    2pm - 4pm (pick your launch time)

  • Where: Lloyd’s Bayou (via Lakeshore Kayak Rental)

  • Cost: Kayaks $25 Single | $35 Tandem | Canoes $75 for up to 4 people (1 adult minimum)

 

Lifejackets are required for all participants (provided if needed). Spaces are limited—reserve your time slot early!

Frequently Asked Questions
  • What should we wear?: Costumes are encouraged but dress for the weather - we will still hold the event if it's sprinkling but we will announce a cancelation to the rain date in case of severe weather. Chances of falling in the water are very low but chances of water dripping on you while you paddle is almost a guarantee.
  • What should we bring?: A trick or treat bag to collect treasures and candies from dock-or-treat stations is encouraged for everyone!
