After School Archery - White Pines - Winter 2026

Indoor archery at White Pines for 5th & 6th Graders! 

Join experienced archery instructor Ms Jackie for our first indoor archery class at White Pines Intermediate School. This class will be for all skill levels whether you're a seasoned bow hunter, you've tried archery in P.E. classes or you're brand new to it and just curious what this archery stuff is all about. Each class, we will go through range safety and bow safety before anyone takes their first shot. We will work on target practice, play some archery games and even have a mini-tournament on the final day. 

Bows, and arrows will be provided but we recommend you purchase an archery shooting glove that fits your student's dominant hand. These can be found at Dunham's regularly, ocassionally Meijer or Walmart will have them otherwise they can be found online for pretty inexpensive ($9-$12 typically - they don't need a fancy one). 

This will be a fun class for White Pines students to try archery in an after school setting. 

 

Class will meet in the White Pines Aux Gym on Wednesdays from 3pm - 4pm (during Early Release Time)

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Can my child bring their own bow?: No. We will use Genesis bows for this program and they will all be provided by NORA. For safety reasons, we cannot have kids bringing their own bows.
  • Can parents come watch?: No. Unfortunately, the aux gym is not big enough to safely have a spectator area so we do not allow parents to watch. Ms Jackie will take lots of pictures and archers will be keeping archery journals as a way of tracking their improvement and they are welcome to bring these home and share them with families.
