After School Archery at Lake Hills - Fall II 2026

New!

Learn archery in a fun, safe setting with Ms Jackie from NORA on the playground after school in November. We will learn the fundamentals and shoot target arrows from a distance of about 10 yards. Each week, students will be dismissed out to the far soccer field where Ms Jackie will have the range set up for them. Parents/Guardians may observe if they are interested but please bring your own chair and stay in an area designated by Ms Jackie.

Ms Jackie (Jackie Rowland) is a USA Archery Certified Level 2 Instructor Trainer, has taught archery for NORA at North Ottawa Rod & Gun Club and also teaches archery as part of the PE Curriculum at White Pines. Additionally, she is the archery professor at Muskegon Community College. She has many years of experience teaching kids as young as age 4 how to shoot a bow. Equipment for this class will be provided, we will use Genesis compound bows and students will also be given a chance to try a recurve bow if they are interested in trying it.

This is meant to be an introductory experience but kids with previous archery experience are welcome to join as well. All skill levels welcome.
